Today the Arabic Summit is launched in Syria. Most of the Arab countries presidents are present. Unfortunately, as usual some of the Arab countries presidents did not present due to a different political strategies and opinions between some of them and president of Syria. Especially, the different opinion about Lebanon issue, as some presidents of whom absents thought that Syria is entered in the inner political issue of Lebanon. The presidents whom are coming to Syria are leader of Libya, Ghadafi, Qatar and Kuwait princes, Emirates, Kumar Islands Sheikhs, presidents of Tunisia, Algeria and Mauritania. Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Morocco have been represented by low representatives, while Lebanon has boycott the summit as they blame Syria as a source of disturbing the inner system in Lebanon. As usual the Arabian street did not expect any effective decisions from the Summit. The main problem of all those presidents is that they are looking for personal advantages to be in the power, and they do not looking for their own people at all. At the moment, the Arab countries are very weak and will never back into the world board unless they looking for union in one nation. The history give examples of many nations are union and they have no base to do that like US. Only, and only by looking for the own people the Arab can be strong and will have an effective role in the world events. The factors for that are founded: we all have one language, history, religion and one future target. I am looking a day when all Arab countries will be such one country.

Thank you very much insructors!!!
After 2 months of leap I feel my English language has improved, especially on the write skill side. I have got more confident on myself for writing and I am sure if I do again the evaluation tests I will get better mark than I got previously. Honestly, I have learnt a lot of things beside the language itself; for example, I have known the different between many issue like essays, assignment, self-studies and presentation and what the pattern is for any of them. In addition, despite I do not like the team work due many reasons, but I have enjoyed that in some periods especially in class. I have to express on my thanks for two instructors since they have dedicated their time and work to teach us with the right way to study and improve our English language which is necessarily function to pursue my technical study in the next term. I hope I can do all the best for coming weeks to let the lovely instructors just happy of me.

Why Maradona!!!!
I would like to talk and defend my choice about creativity topic "Maradona". Some student thought that no real creativity in the sport field. Despite of most individual sports are showing many way of creativity like gymnastics. But, grouping sport like football, not easy to find someone really creative. In soccer, for example it is difficult to fine a creative player between 22 players in one game. Maradona, is creative player for me because firstly when he began played with Napoli team, Italy, the team was in a second division. He took the team up through one year to the profession division; following year had the trophy of the italian league, then took UEFA cup later. Secondly, despite he was failed in doping test for Cocaine, he has chosen by the people as the beat player of the century. I think these two reasons is apptroved that he deserve to be such a creative player.

The Fine
Last week on 19th of February 2008, I crossed the main street in the down town of Calgary. Actually I did crossed the street in front of the police members because I would like to ask them about a place address and I have no idea that what I did was mistake. It was first time ever being in the down town of Calgary as I arrived to Canada recently.
That time when I crossed the street I saw the police men and if I knew that what I did is wrong I won't do it, especially in front of the police. I explained every thing to him. He said "if you want to ask me or not, if you are new in the country or not, you have to follow what is written on the sign". He is very rigid and unfair in his judgment because I am very caution man and I do respect the law, even I failed this time.

Oh.. a busy week
Last week we were busy for doing the midterm exam. I hope that everybody did all the best. For myself I think I did well (over the average, but not distinguish) in general. I made silly mistakes in the midterm. It silly mistakes because I knew the answers and to some reasons I did not answer specific questions properly. I excatley mean the topics in the class books. Anyway that week past already, so we should concentrate on the second half of the course. Again all the best for everybody in the past exam, and I hope that will help you in your future technical study.

Omar Almoktar
Mahnoush asked me to write on Omar Almokhtar as she likes and admires Omar Almoktar also. So, Iwould like to write these information on him. Amoktar is a symbol of Libya. He is a heroism, bravery and nationalism. He was born in 1850, in a small city called (Solouk), in the East of Libya. He struggled for a long time against the invader, Italy. Libya was occupied by fascist Italy beginning of 1911. Also, he kept to educate and teach younger the Holy Qurran despite the banning learning according to the invader policy. He did not accept that Libya's land remains under the foreigner's control. So, he announced and began his war to free the land when he was 60 years old. Moreover, he faced the hanging death penalty with steady brave after being captured. He had resisted the occupier for 20 years. He did not accept to sell the country with a lot of money or with an important job offered to him. He sold his own soul and family for the country to give approved example of the self-sacrifice for the independence of his country. by the way the movie has been done by Libyan government on Omar Almoktar as he a remarkable idividual. Name of the film is The Lion of Desert. The casts were Antony Queen for Almoktar role and Oliver Red for Grazziani (Italian Commander in Libya).

GUESS WHAT THE REASON WAS?
Last week end we (my family and I) decided to go for shopping. My wife and I have a keys copy for a block main door and the flat door. I did not why I was lazy to get my own key with me, and I said that "my wife keys will be fine". We enjoyed ourselves especially the kids. As we finished our tours, my wife asked me to stay longer for more shopping. I left my wife and Belgais (my daughter) together. Sofyan (my son) and I decided to back home. While we were in the bus I remembered that I have no my own key. The problem even goes worse as I left my cell-phone in my wife's hand bag. So I said I will consume bit of time at the mall near us until my wife arrive home. So, again more shopping, but, this time compulsory tours!!. Sofyan has chance for more fun and also, I bought some stuff. The worst thing as I finished the shopping and I want to pay the money at cashier for the stuff I bought; I could not find where my debit card is? Afterwhile, I realized my card was lost at the same day either. Do you know what the reasons for whole story were?
The problem issues happen because I have to back home early to do lot of HOMEWORKS, ASSIGNMENTS AND……been given by our respectful instructors FOR EAP.

How a nice tour!!!!
May be no any falls in the world has got fame and publicity like Niagara Falls at the border between Canada and America. I have never imagined that one day I will see Niagara Falls. Days after arrived Canada I visited the Niagara falls. What a sight! You just will finds yourself in front of a miracle.
My children, wife and I with my sister family enjoyed ourselves in tour boat at the Niagara Falls. The water was spraying all over. The stranger thing for me was that "Many brides and grooms were celebrating their wedding at the falls".
I asked the guide of our tours what the falls represent for Canada and Canadians? He answered that "Over of 12 million tourists are coming to the falls annually. Also, it has an economic advantage. The falls are natural source for an electricity generation. Nowadays, the hydrocarbons fuel are expansive and have a high degree of contaminations. So, the Niagara Falls provides such a clean and renewal source of energy. By the way, this electricity is enough to feed more than 160,000 houses.
At night, the Niagara city turns into a magic city. The lights everywhere and the people busy to buy souvenirs and goods, walking or sitting around dinner tables. We have fun and we spent a very good time in amazing day.

Why I like HOUN!!
I would like to write on a city I love, HOUN. It is a beautiful oasis in Libya desert. It locates in the center of Libya, south of Tripoli (the Capital) about 700km. The population of the city is 25,000 approximately.
It recognizes with a lot of palm trees, water springs and sand dunes. According to the history books the city founded in 1116. Due to extreme winds of sands, the people of the city transferred to the recent location in four stages. The last location where modern Houn is standing was the last stage in 1852.
The ancients of the old city locations are still preserved. Unfortunately, some of the previous are under the sands. The previous old city is recognized with an engineering style on the building, streets, arches and mosques. The old city was surrounding with long and high wall to protect the people and has had four big doors in each direction.
Houn, one of the best places in Libya for teaching and learning. It embosoms many Islamic scientists who made the culture foundation and bases especially for the Islamic education and Arabic language, as Alshankity, Alsoky, Alkhazmi and Alsharif Ahmed. Also, Houn has own scientists who graduate in Alazher university in Egypt and Alzytona university in Tunisia. They excel in many branches such as sciences, Islamic religion education, literatures, poets and artists as Hiddrah, Mazen, Haj Ahmed and Elkhair. That give such a reserve for develop the human resources until now.
Also, the city resounds with traditional made-hand products. Most of the products depend on the palm trees, palm leafs and fibers. In addition, the city is well known as Silver and Bronze well grave and made-hand products, needle point and stains products, wool cloths, leather bags and shoes, clay and lime products.
In last and not finally the long history of a resistance and struggle against the invader, Fascisti Italy, give honor medal and a great reflect of a proud feeling for the Houn people.
Houn now is a beautiful modern city with a new building, streets and manufacturing. All of that make the city such as a unique panorama with diversity in natural landscapes, ancient and modern scenes. I proud to be Hounian.
